MVC WITH NO INJURIES

MARCH 5, 2010 - 21:37 Fire & EMS units were dispatched to a reported motor vehicle rollover on Route 100 near Heritage Church. Chief 2 arrived on scene at 21:45 and established Route 100 command. There was 1 vehicle that had run out of the road and rolled but landed on its wheels with all occupants out of the vehicle. Engine 2 arrived on scene at 21:47 and was commanded to do traffic control and help with cleaning the roadway of gravel. Rescue 2 arrived on scene at 21:51 and was commanded to do traffic control and help with cleaning the roadway. Medic 10 was also on scene checking on occupants. Deputy's were also on scene conducting an investigation. Chief 2 terminated Route 100 command at 22:09 and all fire units returned to service.

 FLUE FIRE

FEBRUARY 21, 2010 -05:10 Fire & EMS units were dispatched to a reported flue fire at 4223 Little Creek Road. Chief 2 arrived on scene at 05:25 and established command. Tanker 2 arrived on scene at 05:28 and Rescue 2 arrived at 05:33. Brush 2 arrived on scene at 05:35 in case we could not access home because of snow. Medic 10 was also on scene. The flue was on fire so Tanker 2 was commanded to set up a ladder to chimney. Deputy Chief 2 was commanded to do roof operations and Captain 2 to do interior operations. The roof team used chains to clear creosote from chimney. Captain 2 had to remove the wall board and wall studs from around the thimble that had caught fire. The fire was extinguished with water extinguishers. Chief 2 terminated command at 06:28 and all fire units returned to service.


 
 
 

FIREFIGHTERS RECEIVE AWARDS AT ANNUAL SHRIMP SOCIAL

February 13, 2010 - Members from the department gathered for the annual shrimp social and awards ceremony. Honored were Dean Russell and Eric Wirt. Both firefighters received thier lifetime service award. This award is given for 20 years of service with Dublin Vol. Fire Dept.
